SLED's Active Attack/Targeted Violence Training & Medical Support Department houses the South Carolina Center for School Safety, as well as the SLED Active Shooter and Complex Coordinated Terrorist Attack (AS/CCTA) Program. 

SLED Active Shooter and Complex Coordinated Terrorist Attack (AS/CCTA) Program

The SLED Active Shooter (AS) and Complex Coordinated Terrorist Attack (CCTA) Program provides training for thousands of emergency responders and citizens across the state. This includes training courses for (AS/CCTA) situations. Training is coordinated with county and state government agency partners, as well as community groups, houses of worship, and businesses. This training is also conducted nationally.  

Classes range from Active Shooter Awareness & Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE), to Stop the Bleed and AS/CCTA Dispatcher Training.
