The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) Procurement Department is located at 4400 Broad River Road, Columbia, S.C. 29210. The Procurement Department staff may be reached in its Headquarters Office at (803) 896-7004 or (803) 896-7171. Work Hours are between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, except for official Holidays.

Doing Business with SLED

Businesses or Individuals desiring to do business with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) should furnish the Procurement Department a company profile or literature describing their product line or services offered. Names of sales representatives with telephone and FAX numbers should also be provided.

Vendors must be registered in the South Carolina Enterprise Information System. When you register, you will be issued a unique vendor number, which must be provided when submitting a bid or proposal. During registration, you will be asked to identify those commodity codes that reflect the goods, services, or information technology you wish to provide. This information is used to send you e-mails regarding those solicitations issued through SCEIS and coded with one of the commodity codes you select.

Q: Why do I need to register as a vendor or contractor?

Q: How long could it take for creating or updating my registration?

A: Vendor registration may take up to three (3) business days for creation or updating.

Forget your user name?

  1. If you forget your user name, complete a new vendor registration (could take up to three business days).
  2. When you receive a new user name, go to step 9 of the 'Vendor Registration Guide' (page 17).
  3. In the 'message to administrator' field, indicate you are updating your vendor registration.

Commodities/Services

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division purchases an array of goods and services utilized to support a variety of law enforcement tasks. Commodities include office equipment and supplies, vehicle repairs, ammunition, laboratory equipment and supplies, information technology equipment, communication equipment, rotary aircraft equipment, building supplies, protective clothing, uniforms, various robotics equipment, all terrain vehicles, automobiles, trucks, and professional services.


Small and Minority Owned Business Assistance Program

In compliance with Article 21 of the South Carolina Procurement Code, the Governor’s Office of Small and Minority Owned Business Assistance (OSMBA) has implemented a certification process for those businesses meeting the definition of a small and minority owned business.
