SLED charges PPP special agent with three counts of sexual misconduct with an inmate, patient, or offender - first degree and two counts of misconduct in office

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged DeMichaelas Shaquell Daniels, 32, with three counts of Sexual Misconduct with an Inmate, Patient, or Offender - First Degree and two counts of Misconduct in Office on Monday, March 24, 2025. The charges involve several female victims. Anyone with information regarding this matter should email tips to SLED at tips@sled.sc.gov or call (866) 472-8477.
Newberry County Sheriff’s Office requested that SLED assist with the investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Daniels was booked into the Newberry County Detention Center.
This case will be prosecuted by the 8th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
