SLED Charges North Carolina Man with Committing Lewd Acts on a Child

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged David Earl Culton, 66, with two counts of Committing Lewd Acts on a Child on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Culton was booked into the Kershaw County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 5th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
SLED previously charged Culton on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, with four counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor - First Degree.
