SLED Charges North Carolina Man with Being a Fugitive from Justice after Fleeing to South Carolina

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Tyzhaun Carney, 25, with being a Fugitive from Justice on Monday, June 2, 2025. Carney entered South Carolina while fleeing from North Carolina, where he is wanted on numerous charges including Involuntary Manslaughter. The SLED investigation was requested by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Carney was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center in Richland County and is awaiting extradition to North Carolina.
