The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Shlanda Edwards, 35, with Forgery – Value $10,000 or more and two counts of Forgery – Value less than $10,000 on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. The South Carolina Department of Insurance requested the SLED investigation.

Edwards was booked into the Newberry County Detention Center.
