SLED charges Lexington County man with vehicle fraud

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Richard J. Washington, 40, with 4 counts of Breach of Trust with Fraudulent Intent value $10,000 or more, and 2 counts of Forgery value $10,000 or more on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. The SLED investigation was requested by the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Washington was booked into the Lexington County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 11th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
