SLED Charges Lexington County Man with Illegal Gaming

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Walter Limann Hicks Sr., 51, with Unlawful Possession/Operation of a Slot, Video, Vending Machine or Gambling Device, and Unlawful Games and Betting on Monday, March 9, 2026. The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Hicks Sr. was booked into the Lexington County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 11th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
