SLED Charges Lexington County Man with Identity Fraud

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Arias Armaine Johnson, 34, with Obtaining Property Under False Pretenses - Value $10,000 or More and Identity Fraud on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

Details can be found in the attached warrants.

Johnson was booked into Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center in Richland County.

The case will be prosecuted by the 5th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.

Johnson was arrested earlier this year and charged with Identity Fraud on Saturday, June 7, 2025.

On Monday, June 9, 2025, Johnson was served with an additional charge of Identity Fraud, along with Possession of a Vehicle with an Altered VIN, and a Chop Shop Violation of Altering or Destroying a Vehicle ID Number.
