SLED Charges a Lexington County Man with Identity and Vehicle Fraud

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Arias Armaine Johnson, 33, with Identity Fraud, on Saturday, June 7, 2025. Johnson was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center in Richland County.
On Monday, June 9, 2025, Johnson was served with an additional charge of Identity Fraud, along with Possession of a Vehicle with an Altered VIN, and a Chop Shop Violation of Altering or Destroying a Vehicle ID Number.
Details of the four charges can be found in the attached warrants.
Johnson remains in the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center in Richland County.
The case will be prosecuted by the 5th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
