SLED Charges Lexington County Man with Forgery, Computer Crimes, and Obtaining Property under False Pretenses

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Billy R. Oswald, 77, with Forgery - Value of $10,000 or more, Computer Crime - Value Exceeds $10,000 First Degree, and Obtaining Property under False Pretenses - Value $10,000 or more, on Friday, April 11, 2025. The SLED investigation was requested by the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce (SCDEW).

Details can be found in the attached warrants.

Oswald was booked into the Lexington County Detention Center.

The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
