SLED charges Horry County man with financial fraud

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Rusty Shane Shockley, 52, with Obtaining a Signature or Property by False Pretenses, and Crimes Against a Federally Chartered Institution in Horry County on Monday, October 28, 2024. Shockley was then charged with 2 counts of Obtaining a Signature or Property by False Pretenses in Allendale County on Monday, November 25, 2024.

Shockley was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Horry County, then into the Allendale County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 14th and 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Offices.
