SLED charges Hampton County man with accessory after the fact following kidnapped woman found in Corner Lake Landing

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Marquis Antwan Smith, 42, with Accessory after the Fact to Kidnapping on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Smith was booked into the Hampton County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 14th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
SLED was requested by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office to assist with an investigation on April 3, 2024, after a woman was found injured in Jasper County. The woman was transported to the hospital for treatment and has been released. The investigation determined that the woman was kidnapped in Barnwell County. Kidnapping warrants were obtained by the Barnwell County Sheriff’s Office for Adrienne Burgen Ginn, 31, Kaila Terria Bostick, 34, and Jamaal Terrell Riley, 30, on April 3, 2024.
Ginn was arrested on April 6, 2024, in Hampton County by the South Carolina Highway Patrol for Driving Under Suspension – 2nd Offense.
On Monday, April 8, 2024, SLED was requested to lead the investigation by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office and the Hampton County Sheriff’s Office.
Bostick and Riley were arrested by the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force in Indiana on Thursday, April 11, 2024. All subjects are now in custody in South Carolina. SLED’s investigation is active and ongoing.
