SLED Charges Former Orangeburg Department of Public Safety Officer with Misconduct in Office

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Connor O’Neal Gartman, 25, with Misconduct of a Public Official in Office on Monday, March 23, 2026. The Orangeburg Department of Public Safety requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Gartman was booked into the Orangeburg County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 1st Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
