SLED charges former McCormick police officer with misconduct in office

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Matthew Dillon Yonn, 28, with Misconduct in Office on February 7, 2025. The SLED investigation was conducted at the request of the McCormick County Sheriff’s Office.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Yonn was booked into the McCormick County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
