SLED Charges Former Lexington County Sheriff's Department Chemist with Obtaining Goods under False Pretense

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Shekinah Shyann Sade Brown, 24, with Obtaining a Signature or Property Under False Pretense, value $10,000 or more, on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. The SLED investigation was requested by the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Brown was booked into the Lexington County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
