SLED Charges Former Hanahan Police Sergeant with Misconduct in Office

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Carlos Juan Fernando Reyna Hernandez, 31, with Misconduct in Office on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Hernandez was booked into the Hill-Finklea Detention Center in Berkeley County.
The case will be prosecuted by the 9th Circuit Solicitor’s office.
