SLED Charges Former Cowpens Police Officer with Breach of Trust with Fraudulent Intent

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Randy Lee Moss Jr., 26, with Breach of Trust with Fraudulent Intent, Value $2,000.00 or Less on Thursday, August 13, 2026. The Cowpens Police Department requested the SLED investigation. 

Details can be found in the attached warrant. 

Moss Jr. was booked into the Spartanburg County Detention Center. 

The case will be prosecuted by the 7th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
