SLED charges former College of Charleston police officer with grand larceny, misconduct in office

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged David James Morrison, 30, with Grand Larceny, and Misconduct in Office on Thursday, June 13, 2024. SLED investigated at the request of the College of Charleston Department of Public Safety Chief Chip Searson.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Morrison was booked at the Al Cannon Detention Center in Charleston County.
The case will be prosecuted by the 9th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
