SLED charges former Chairman of the Lexington County Republican Party with two Counts of Breach of Trust

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Craig Thomas Caldwell, 42, with two counts of Breach of Trust with Fraudulent Intent, value $10,000.00 or more on Friday, July 12, 2024. SLED was requested to investigate by the Lexington County Republican Party.
Details can be found in the attached warrants. Caldwell was booked into the Lexington County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 8th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
