SLED charges former Anderson County school resource officer with sexual battery with a student

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Nicholas Cain Posey, 32, with Sexual Battery with a Student on February 12, 2025. The SLED investigation was requested by the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Posey was booked into the Anderson County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
