SLED Charges Former Aiken County Sheriff's Office Correctional Deputy with Misconduct in Office and Furnishing Contraband to Inmates

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Jaquaime Trashawn Washington, 24, with Misconduct in Office and Furnishing Contraband in a County Jail on Thursday, August 21, 2025. The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Washington was booked into the Aiken County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 2nd Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
