SLED Charges Darlington County Woman with Credit Card Fraud

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Ny’Asia Shamei Washington, 23, with Financial Transaction Card Fraud - value more than $500 in a six month period and two counts of Financial Transaction Card Fraud - value $500 or less in a six month period on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles requested that SLED investigate.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Washington was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center in Richland County.
The case will be prosecuted by the 5th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
