SLED Charges Berkeley County Woman with Vehicle Fraud

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Kenyada Lucretia Smith, 41, with Forgery – Less Than $10,000 and Presenting a False Claim for an Insurance Payment – Value $2,000 of Less on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. The South Carolina Department of Insurance requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Smith was booked into the Hill-Finklea Detention Center in Berkeley County.
The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Department of Insurance.
