SLED chargers two Richland County residents with vehicle fraud

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Justin Alexander Griffin, 29, and Tyhisha Centrell Lyles, 30, with a total of six counts of Vehicle Fraud on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
Griffin was charged with Altering, Forging or Counterfeiting a Certificate of Title, and two counts of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle with a Value of $10,000 or more. Lyles was charged with three counts of Obtaining Property Under False Pretenses.
SLED was requested to assist with the investigation by the Carrollton Police Department in Georgia.

Griffin and Lyles were booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center in Richland County.
The case will be prosecuted by the 5th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
