Tuesday, Oct 28, 2025
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is proud to announce the opening of the new Pee Dee Regional Office on the campus of Francis Marion University.
SLED Chief Mark Keel, Assistant Chief Richard Gregory, Special Agents, and community partners were on hand to take park in today’s celebration. Mrs. Jean Leatherman, the widow of the late South Carolina Senator Hugh Leatherman (R – District 31), Dr. Luther F. Carter, President of Francis Marion University, Hood Construction, and the design teams with Moseley and Ervin Engineering also attended the ribbon cutting ceremony held earlier today.
“This new office gives us a space we can call our own,” said SLED Chief Mark Keel. “And this is the first stand-alone regional office for SLED. It was built and designed to serve as a model for the other regions in the years to come."
