SLED Charges York County Couple with 12 Counts of Unlawfully Placing a Child at Risk of Harm

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Joel Snipes II, 42, and Sabrinia Skidmore, 28, with six counts each of Unlawfully Placing a Child at Risk of Harm on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The York County Sheriff’s Office requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Both Snipes and Skidmore were booked into the York County Detention Center.
This case will be prosecuted by the 16th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
