SLED Charges Two Sumter County Residents with Alcohol Offenses

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Vernice Shawann Sharper, 38, and Cedric Antonio Williams,48, both with Failure to Secure Required Beer or Wine Sale Permit, Unlawful Sale, Manufacture etc. of Alcoholic Liquors - 1st Offense, and Unlawful Storage or Possession of Alcoholic Liquors in a Place of Business - 1st Offense on Saturday May 2, 2026. The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the SLED Investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Sharper and Williams were booked into theSumter-Lee Regional Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 3rd Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
