SLED Charges Sumter County Woman with Insurance Fraud

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Ulanda Shamicka Yarborough, 44, with Presenting a False Claim for Insurance Payment - Value $10,000 or More on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. The South Carolina Department of Insurance requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Yarborough was booked into the Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Department of Insurance.
Yarborough was one of three defendants named in the arrest warrant. SLED charged co-defendant Jamari Demetrius Pringle, 19, with Presenting a False Claim for Insurance Payment, Value $10,000 or More on Thursday, October 9, 2025. The third defendant remains at large.
