SLED charges Spartanburg County man with vehicle fraud

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Christopher Rex Howard, 52, with Title Fraud and Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses, value more than $2,000 but less than $10,000 on February 21, 2025. SLED was requested to investigate by the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (SCDMV).
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Howard was booked into the Spartanburg County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 7th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
