SLED Charges Lexington County Man with Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and Unlawful Dissemination of Obscene Material to a Person Under 18 Years of Age

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Steven Michael Schulz, 48, with Sexual Exploitation of a Minor – Third Degree and Unlawful Dissemination of Obscene Material to a Person Under 18 Years of Age on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Elmore was booked into the Lexington County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
