SLED charges Lancaster County man with forgery and financial transaction fraud

Agents with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Steven Emerson Boate, 64, with Forgery and Financial Transaction Fraud on Thursday, March 14, 2024. SLED was requested by the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (SC DMV).
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Boate was booked at the Lancaster County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 6th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
