SLED Charges Horry County Woman with Homicide by Child Abuse and Unlawful Conduct Toward a Child

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Makiah Marie Long, 22, with Homicide by Child Abuse and two counts of Unlawfully Conduct Toward a Child on Thursday, June 11, 2026.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Carson was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Horry County.
The case will be prosecuted by the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
