SLED charges former Spartanburg County deputy with misconduct in office, and disclosure of confidential information

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Avery Dean Hand, 29, with Misconduct in Office, and Disclosure of Confidential Information on Friday, December 6, 2024.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Hand was booked into the Spartanburg County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
