SLED charges former SC DJJ associate deputy with misconduct in office, and assault & battery 3rd degree

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Adrian Oneal Cartledge, 45, with Misconduct in Office, and Assault & Battery 3rd degree on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. The SLED investigation was requested by the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ).
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Cartledge was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center in Richland County.
The case will be prosecuted by the 5th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
