SLED Charges Former Private Contract Employee at Spartanburg County Detention Center with Financial Fraud

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Cassidy Taylor Steiner, 31, with Financial Transaction Card Fraud – Value $500 or Less in a six-month period, and Breach of Trust with Fraudulent Intent – Value $10,000 or More on Monday, September 8, 2026. The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Steiner was booked into the Spartanburg County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
