SLED charges former Oconee County Sheriff's Deputy with misconduct in office and public official misconduct in office

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Justin Alan Pelfrey, 36, with Misconduct in Office and Public Official Misconduct in Office on February 7, 2025. The SLED investigation was requested by the Clemson Police Department.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Pelfrey was booked into the Pickens County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 13th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
