SLED Charges Former Myrtle Beach Police Officer with Pointing and Presenting a Firearm at a Person

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Michael Debiase, 46, with Pointing and Presenting a Firearm at a Person on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. The Myrtle Beach Police Department requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Debiase was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Horry County.
The case will be prosecuted by the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
