SLED Charges Former Mullins Police Officer with Embezzlement of Public Funds

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Chrisgen Shemar Gause, 24, with Embezzlement of Public Funds - Value Less Than $10,000 on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
The Mullins Police Department requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Gause was booked into the Marion County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
