SLED charges former Mount Pleasant police officer with possession with intent to distribute cocaine

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Andrew Hoyt Rowell, 40, with Possession With Intent to Distribute Cocaine on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. The SLED investigation was requested by the Mount Pleasant Police Department.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Rowell was booked into the Charleston County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 9th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
