SLED charges former Florence County Deputy with Voluntary Manslaughter Assault and Battery of a High Aggravated Nature and Misconduct in Office

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Treyvon Jonathan Sellers, 29, with Voluntary Manslaughter, Assault & Battery of a High & Aggravated Nature, and Misconduct in Office on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. The SLED investigation was requested by Florence County Sheriff T.J. Joye, following an officer involved shooting in Florence County on May 26, 2024.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Sellers was booked into the Florence County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
