SLED charges former Berkeley County detention deputy with assault & battery 2nd degree and misconduct in office

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Aisha Zakiya Davis, 31, with Assault & Battery 2nd degree and Misconduct in Office on Thursday, September 19, 2024. The SLED investigation was requested by the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Davis was booked into the Berkeley County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the 9th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
