SLED Charges Florence County Woman with Insurance Fraud and Forgery

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Chrystala Lashawn Timmons, 40, with Presenting a False Claim for Insurance Payment - value more than $2,000 but less than $10,000 and four counts of Forgery - value less than $10,000 on Friday, June 6, 2025. The SLED investigation was requested by the South Carolina Department of Insurance.
Details can be found in the attached warrants.
Timmons was booked into the Florence County Detention Center.
The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Department of Insurance.
