SLED Charges Charleston County Man with Lottery Fraud

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Kymron Royale Payne, 20, with Intent to Defraud, Counterfeit Game Tickets on Monday, February 23, 2026. The South Carolina Education Lottery requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Payne was booked into Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center in Charleston County.
The case will be prosecuted by the 9th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
