SLED Charges Former Lexington County Detention Center Inmate with Contraband and Criminal Conspiracy

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Keante Lasoun Donaldson, 30, with Contraband Possession and Criminal Conspiracy on Thursday, January 29, 2026. The Lexington County Sheriff’s Office requested the SLED investigation.

After Donaldson was booked into the Lexington County Detention Center, he was transported back to the South Carolina Department of Corrections to complete a sentence on unrelated charges.
The case will be prosecuted by the 11th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
SLED previously charged a former Lexington County Detention Center Correctional Officer, James Johnson, with Criminal Conspiracy and Contraband on Monday, March 18, 2024 and a Lexington County woman, Skyy Glover, with Criminal Conspiracy on Friday, March 15, 2024. Both are mentioned in the attached warrants.
