SLED Charges Former Hartsville Police Officer with Misconduct in Office

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Kevan Legrande Johnson, 34, with Misconduct in Office on Friday, January 23, 2026. The Hartsville Police Department and the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office requested the SLED investigation.
Details can be found in the attached warrant.
Johnson was booked into the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center in Darlington County.
The case will be prosecuted by the 4th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
