SLED Charges Aiken American Legion Post Finance Officer with Breach of Trust

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged David Savage, 58, with Breach of Trust with Fraudulent Intent – Value $10,000 or More on Thursday, May 14, 2026. The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office requested the SLED investigation.

Details can be found in the attached warrant. 

Savage was booked into the Aiken County Detention Center.

The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
